If, like me, you have been training throughout January and have been lucky enough to stay injury-free and motivated, you are probably starting to see your hard work paying off.
Everything You Need To Know About 'Where Am I?' Races And How They Can Improve Your Training
If, like me, you have been training throughout January and have been lucky enough to stay injury-free and motivated, you are probably starting to see your hard work paying off. You've tracked all your runs (apart from the one when your running watch ran out of battery!) and you're either looking at your January stats thinking "wow this is pretty good, I wonder how much faster can I go" or you're thinking "Why can't I get those few precious seconds off my time?"
This is where a 'Where Am I?' race comes in.
Nothing beats the thrill of a race. Competing against other runners, the satisfaction of passing someone as you fly around the course. The adrenaline kicks in and suddenly you can run much faster than you did in training. The course is marked for you so you can focus on your performance rather than where to turn next. Marshalls are encouraging you and helping you to dig deep when it counts. You keep going even when you want to stop, just so that the runner behind you doesn't overtake. And that final burst to the finish line when you thought you had nothing left.
Craving that feeling? Want to see how you can improve your training? Join us this weekend at Regent's Park or next weekend at Victoria Park and feel the thrill.
Come and get your race on.
