These ever-popular Junior Races start at 12pm, after the 5k & 10k runners are home, allowing parents to watch their children run. Held entirely within the safe, traffic-free confines of Queen’s School, the Junior races are entirely on grass. These races are popular with children of all ages and are hotly contested between local schools!

Registration: On Saturday 11 July between 11am-3pm. On Sunday 12 July from 08:30 to 11:30 at Queen's School
Race Numbers: For collection at registration on Sat/Sun only, numbers will not be posted. To be fastened to the front of your top using safety pins provided at registration, your number should be visible at all times. Your timing chip is attached to the back of your number and should not be removed

Route: The route is entirely on grass and within the safe, traffic-free confines of Queen’s School. Approximate distances are below:-
School Years 2 & Under - 400m
School Years 3&4 - 800m
School Years 5&6 - 800m
School Years 7&8 -1600m
School Years 9&10 -1600m
Girls & Boys will run together
Spectators: Safe and traffic-free start/finish area for spectators within Queen’s School
Licensing: This race will not be registered
Pacers: Pacers will not be offered at this race
Bag Drop: Whilst we recommend bringing as little as possible, you can leave your belongings with us while you race using the tear-off baggage strip on your race number, collecting after you finish by presenting your race number.
Toilets: There are toilets at the start/finish in Queen’s School
Race Marshals: Marshals will be present on the course throughout the race.
Route Markers: The route will be clearly indicated with arrows & tape
Water Stations: There will be no water station on the route, but there will be water at the finish
Goody Bag: All runners will receive a goody bag on finishing the race
Refreshments: There will be refreshments and food available before, during and after the race at Queen’s School
Changing/Showers: There will be no changing or shower facilities at this race
Lost Property: Lost property from an event will be kept for one month. If unclaimed, or ownership cannot be determined, lost property items will be donated to charity.
Photography: Race photography will be provided, a link to which will be sent out in the post-race communication.
Results: Results will be uploaded live to our website (internet connection permitting) and, where possible, timing print-outs will be available at the race. In all cases, results will be communicated to all pre-registered participants within 24 hours of the event
Medals: All finishers will receive a medal on completing the race
Prizes: will be awarded to the 1st boy/girl in each age category:-

Buggies/Pushchairs: This race is not suitable for runners with buggies/pushchairs
Wheelchair Users: This race is not suitable for wheelchair users
Earphones/Headphones: Noise-cancelling earphones/headphones are prohibited and whilst we discourage the use of other earphones/headphones at this event, participants choosing to use them should ensure they are set to a minimum volume such that instructions from marshals can be clearly understood. We reserve the right to disqualify participants who cannot hear instructions as a result of their use.
Event Time-Limit: There is no time-limit for this race
