NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal
Our amazing NHS staff and volunteers are working tirelessly to care for COVID-19 patients. And we want them to know the country has also got their back. We are so proud and in awe of NHS staff and volunteers as they work tirelessly to save lives! This means staying away from their homes and families, working day and night, to treat as many people as possible in need of care. As NHS staff and volunteers look after COVID-19 patients in their greatest hour of need, we can help take care of the well-being of our NHS people.
Donations will fund well-being packs/gifts for staff and volunteers on wards/departments (this could include food deliveries, high energy/protein bars/drinks, snacks, refreshments, wash kits, overnight stay kits.) and the cost of travel, parking, accommodation for NHS staff and volunteers and, last but not least, volunteer expenses.
WHO COVID-19 Response Fund
We are all affected by the growing COVID-19 pandemic. It's an unprecedented health challenge and people everywhere want to help. The World Health Organization is leading and coordinating the global effort, supporting countries to prevent, detect, and respond to the pandemic.
Donations support the WHO’s work to track and understand the spread of the virus; to ensure patients get the care they need and frontline workers get essential supplies and information; and to accelerate efforts to develop vaccines, tests, and treatments.
Age UK Coronavirus emergency appeal
Together, we will get through this.
The coronavirus pandemic has changed life for everyone, but some older people are among the hardest hit. In communities across the UK, older people are relying on their local Age UK to provide practical support with food supplies and much more.
Donations will support Age UK’s hard work ensuring vital information, advice and befriending services can continue to safely help the older people who are reaching out during these deeply worrying times, some who have no one else to turn to.
Samaritans is a critical service, needed now more than ever. In light of latest government advice, our volunteers are working really, really hard to support the people who need us most.
There are a lot of unknowns about the immediate and long-term future, and it’s natural that this uncertainty and change will affect people’s mental wellbeing. Every six seconds, someone contacts Samaritans - donations will help answer the phone to those who are struggling.
Friends of the Earth
Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland is part of an international community dedicated to protecting the natural world and the wellbeing of everyone in it. They lead campaigns, provide resources and information, and drive real solutions to the environmental problems facing us all.
Donate to Friends of the Earth and help protect the wellbeing of people and the planet, including work to fight climate chaos. By 2030 the next generation will enjoy an environment that's getting better: a safer climate, flourishing nature, and healthy air, water and food, that’s the goal.
Please follow official guidance on current measures when going outside to exercise. Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people and wash your hands as soon as you get home.
